Admission Requirements

The Common Application is required for students applying to any of SSBM Geneva’s programs. 

You will have to fulfill the minimum requirements as follows:

Bachelor programs

  • Successful completion of the Swiss Baccalaureate / High School Diploma / International Baccalaureate or equivalent*
  • Swiss commercial vocational baccalaureate or Vocational Educational Training (VET) equivalent qualification
  • English requirements: English Proficiency test for non-native speakers is required (TOEFL IBT 90, IELTS 6.5 or equivalent). If a candidate is not from a majority English-speaking country, then an evidence of English language competency is required.
  • Grade transcripts
  • Your CV or resume
  • ID or passport copy
  • One photo

*Details on Secondary Education Qualifications

A foreign upper secondary school-leaving certificate must correspond substantially to the Swiss Maturity Certificate in regards to school subjects, number of hours, and length of schooling.
 
Specifically:
– It must be the highest possible upper secondary school-leaving certificate in the issuing country,
– It must entitle the holder to general access to university studies,
– It must – as a rule – be attained in an unabridged course of schooling in a school class,
– It must be in one of the following streams: classical languages, modern languages, humanities and social sciences, or mathematics and natural sciences,
– It must qualify as general education.

Master programs

  • Undergraduate degree (Bachelor) from a recognized university or equivalent
  • Grade transcripts
  • Your CV or resume
  • ID or passport copy
  • One photo
  • English requirements: If a candidate is not from a majority English-speaking country, then an evidence of English language competency is required.
    • TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge
    • Intensive English Program certificate
    • Previous education in English speaking or Bilingual school with an official certificate
    • Test/Interview with SSBM member staff (75 EUR cost which will be deducted from tuition fees upon enrollment)

Applicants who do not have a Bachelor’s degree in the related field will have to complete at least 2 online management courses prior to being enrolled into master program and subject to the Recongition of Prior Learning policy.

 

MBA programs

  • Undergraduate degree (Bachelor) from a recognized university or equivalent*
  • Grade transcripts
  • Your CV or resume
  • ID or passport copy
  • One photo
  • English Proficiency for non-native speakers
  • A Master’s degree in management (or associated discipline) with a minimum of 2 years professional work experience (for Executive MBA)*

*Applicants who do not have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the related field may be admitted subject to the Recongition of Prior Learning policy. 

 

Doctorate programs

  • MBA (or equivalent qualification) from a recognized higher education institution.
  • A Master’s degree in management (or associated discipline) with a minimum of 2 years professional work experience.
  • A Master’s degree in a field other than management (or related discipline) but with a minimum of 5 years professional work experience.
  • Grade transcripts

Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning

You can apply for Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning at the time of your enrollment or up to 2 weeks into your course. For more information contact our team at admissions@ssbm.ch.

When To Apply?

If you are applying for a campus program you have to follow specifc deadlines (intakes) for each program.

If you are applying for an online program you can join our program at any moment once the Admission Committee reviews your application. Be certain that you have the necessary qualification for each of our programs. 

What is Next?

 After being admitted to our programs, you will receive a letter of admission.  Having processed the payment, you will receive an email with your login credentials and will be granted access to our Learn Management System.
