Giacomo received a PhD in Management from the University of Pisa, School of Economics and Management, Italy. His primary research fields are Innovation Management, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and New
Product Development. He is specifically interested in “Beyond Pathologies”, a set of very dangerous but hard to escape tendencies that bring to the development of
products and services beyond what is required by the market, the users, the plans, and the resources of the organisation. His research expertise is also related to the application of Agile principles to New Product Development, issues related to Innovation Adoption, and Bibliometric Analysis, in which he served as method expert in various fields, from Innovation to Entrepreneurship, and Knowledge Management. With an extensive teaching and module coordination experience in
Strategy, Innovation, and Strategic Management, from Undergraduate to MBA level, he is also supervising PhD and DBA students on Innovation, Strategy, Family Business and Entrepreneurship.
