Biography

Dr. Yerkic-Husejnovic received her Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelors of Arts in Foreign Languages in German Literature, and Minors in Math and Physics from Virginia Commonwealth University.

After earning her Masters in Business Administration from Averett University she acquired a Doctorate in Business from Walden University with the thesis on outsourcing of R&D and impact on bottom line. Dr. Yerkic-Husejnovic has 21 years of experience working in corporations, and most recently as a Director of Regulatory. Within the 21 years, Dr. Yerkic-Husejnovic worked in numerous roles leading teams in regulatory, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and R&D while working across international supply chains.

Dr. Yerkic-Husejnovic has been a university professor working in academia since 2008 and has taught undergraduate and graduate course. The courses include international business, operations management, leadership and organizational behavior, business strategy, pre-calculus, calculus, and project management.
Dr. Yerkic-Husejnovic has green and black belt certifications in six sigma, and design thinking from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Over the course of her career, Dr. Yerkic-Husejnovic has acquired 28 patents. She is an entrepreneur and a small business owner.
