Prof. Ivica Katavić, PhD (scientific area: social sciences, scientific field: economics, scientific branch: organization and management) received a doctorate degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Management at Northcentral University, AZ, USA. The doctoral dissertation on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Competitive Advantage: A Case Study of the Cement Industry was nominated for dissertation of the year. He holds a masters degree in Business Administration from the Strayer University, Washington D.C.
Prof. Katavić gained academic experience as a dean of a private university (two terms), head of the department of entrepreneurship and management at VERN; University and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship Education, editor-in-chief of the scientific and professional Journal OBRAZOVANJE ZA PODUZETNIŠTVO–E4E (ISSN). Hi is also a Member of the Council of the Journal Suvremena Trgovina (a trade journal), Member of the organizing committee of the International Scientific-Professional Conference Migration and Identity: Culture, Economy, and State, and lecturer of courses in the field of entrepreneurship, organization and management.
He gained corporate experience in a multinational corporation as a director and member of the board, as well as a private entrepreneur. He was trained at prestigious corporate academies and educational institutions. He holds prestigious certificates including: Balanced Scorecard Master Professional (BSMP) and Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP) issued from Balanced Scorecard Institute in collaboration with George Washington University, Washington D.C.
Prof. Katavić has published over 35 scientific and professional papers and the book Katavić, I. (2015). Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Competitive Advantage. LAP LAMPARD Academic Publishing. Saarbrucken, Germany. He reviewed numerous scientific and professional papers for Croatian scientific/professional journals and proceedings of international conferences. He participated in numerous EU and commercial projects.
