Biography

Petar is a Manager at Ernst & Young Croatia in the Strategy and Transactions department, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Prior to joining EY, Petar served as Director at BDO, where he spent nine years leading numerous corporate finance projects, and manager in boutique consulting firm Marcinkovic&Partners, specializing in corporate finance and restructuring.

For over 10 years, Petar has assisted private and publicly traded companies in resolving complex financial and valuation issues across a broad range of industries including tourism, energy, consumer products, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing/distribution.

His valuation opinions have been regularly used for transaction decision making, tax purposes and financial reporting (particularly fair value accounting under IFRS, including goodwill impairment, stock compensation, and purchase price allocations).

Petar has advanced expertise in business valuation methodologies, financial analysis, and the assessment of financial feasibility of projects (including NPV and IRR calculations). He has broad experience in due diligence, valuations of both private and public sector companies, intangible asset valuations, and the preparation of fairness opinions.

His clients have included financial and accounting executives, boards of mid-sized companies, owners of privately held businesses, and private equity investors.

Petar has also supported corporate reorganizations—both within and outside of bankruptcy—providing valuations for fresh start accounting and litigation support in commercial disputes involving fraud, intellectual property, securities litigation, breach of contract, and economic damages.

In addition, he has experience in transaction services on both the buy and sell side in local and cross-border M&A transactions, and has supported audit teams with complex IFRS and valuation matters.
