My leadership career has spanned across sectors, borders, and cultures. Through these experiences, I have developed a more diverse perspective on success. Through your work as a CEO and Board Member, you’ve influenced many organizations. How do you balance thought leadership with the operational demands of executive roles?
Striking a balance between thought leadership and the execution needed in executive roles requires both an art and a discipline. I’ve learned that the two are not mutually exclusive and perfectly coexist. Thought leadership enables me to conceptualize and push for creative possibilities, while operational responsibility gives me the context and discipline of implementation. It all starts with how you prioritize, building rock-solid teams, and creating an environment of trust and collaboration.
