At the Swiss School of Business and Management (SSBM), education isn’t confined to lecture halls or textbooks—it’s powered by real-world industry collaboration. In a standout project that fused marketing, cultural intelligence, and digital storytelling, a group of bachelors had opportunity to learn from German audio icon Beyerdynamic to reimagine how global brands engage creative communities.

Founded in 1924, Beyerdynamic is a global leader in professional audio technology. From Grammy-nominated producers to content creators worldwide, their handcrafted microphones and headphones are trusted tools for delivering pristine sound. With a legacy rooted in German engineering and a future driven by innovation, Beyerdynamic continues to shape the way the world hears and creates.

Learning by Doing at SSBM

A closer look at Beyerdynamic’s journey reveals a brand deeply committed to creator marketing—not merely as a strategy, but as a philosophy that empowers artists and storytellers to shape the soundscape through authenticity, innovation, and collaboration. This ethos made the collaboration with SSBM a natural fit, especially for a diverse team of Bachelor students who embarked on a month-long experiential learning project to explore video content through the lens of creator marketing.

Guided by real-world challenges, the students analyzed Beyerdynamic’s digital presence, evaluated its product positioning, and developed video content designed to resonate with a global Gen Z audience. With Beyerdynamic’s reputation for excellence among creators across borders and genres, the project gave students direct insight into how brand identity, cultural relevance, and marketing strategy intersect.

What unfolded was more than a standard academic exercise—it was a transformative experience that bridged theory and practice, strengthened creative skills, and deepened students’ understanding of how bold, human-centered storytelling fuels engagement in today’s digital marketplace.

 Six Nations, One Vision

With team members representing seven different countries—spanning Europe, Africa, and Asia, the project became a masterclass in cross-cultural creativity.

Students, together with their supervisor Dr. Olesya Meskina, dissected the Beyerdynamic brand voice and product DNA, and developed a promotional video concept rooted in inclusion, innovation, and authenticity. Their creative narrative drew inspiration from the track “Friends “, composed by KAMRAD, who became Beyerdynamic’s brand ambassador. The storyline combined music, brand color, emotional rhythm, and cultural diversity to convey a simple message: > Sound that connects. Sound that invites. Sound that inspires. Sound that transforms.

By integrating elements from their own countries into the campaign concept, students aligned their vision with one of Beyerdynamic’s core values, bringing people together through sound.

A Bridge Between Academia and Industry

Functioning as a project Management team, the students assigned internal roles, coordinated deliverables, and worked under tight timelines. SSBM’s applied learning model ensured that they weren’t just simulating business; they were engaging with it firsthand.

Students had a great opportunity to present their video to Andreas Rapp, Managing Director of Beyerdynamic, a seasoned executive with extensive managerial experience in the audio technology industry. Mr. Rapp not only reviewed the student-produced concept but also provided tailored feedback and valuable insights into the company’s strategy and innovation outlook.

“For most of us, it was our first time presenting to a CEO,” said one student. “Knowing that our ideas were taken seriously made us feel empowered.”

And then came a heartfelt surprise: Each student received a gift from Beyerdynamic—professional audio gear that allowed them to engage with the very products they’d studied and promoted.

Redefining Global Business Education

With students from over 150 countries, SSBM emphasizes practical learning and global fluency. This partnership with Beyerdynamic is a prime example of how institutions can connect academic curiosity with professional reality, creating space for innovation, inclusion, and leadership to grow.
