Dr. Daniel Koh is a Singapore-based data scientist, educator, and entrepreneur with over 18 years of experience in data science, analytics, and business strategy. He is the Managing Director of Data Chord Pte Ltd (Singapore), where he leads projects that connect data science with cybersecurity and digital transformation.
Daniel is the creator of the PCiDS™ program, an internationally accredited qualification that equips professionals with applied AI and data science skills for real-world problem-solving. He has taught at universities in Singapore and Central Asia, specializing in data visualization, machine learning, ethical analytics, strategic management, and digital transformation. He also pioneered the Loss Aversion Distribution (LAD), published in the Journal of Behavioral Data Science.
Beyond teaching, Daniel is committed to making data science both accessible and ethical. He has collaborated with governments, businesses, and universities on data-driven projects ranging from pandemic response dashboards to advanced anomaly detection systems. His mission is to inspire the next generation of data professionals to not only master technical skills but also apply them responsibly and with impact.
For his contribution to Singapore’s fight against COVID-19, Daniel was awarded the COVID-19 Resilience Medal by the Government of the Republic of Singapore.
