We are proud to announce the success of SSBM’s DBA mentor Dr. Mirsada Ćehić, who participated as a distinguished speaker at the prestigious conference “3rd Global Summit on Climate Changes and Sustainability”. The conference was held in Barcelona, bringing together leading scientists and experts from around the world dedicated to environmental protection and sustainable development.

Dr. Ćehić, gave a presentation on the topic: “The EU’s Green Deal and Challenges in Croatia: A Study of Air Quality Deterioration and the Role of Renewable Energy in Driving Sustainable Development”. As part of the presentation, she shared some of the previously unpublished research results, created in collaboration with Ana Rački Marinković, Ph.D.

For the exceptional contribution and quality of the presentation, Dr. Ćehić was awarded three certificates, signed by the respected professor Antonopoulos (University of the Peloponnese) and Dr. Silveira (Brazilian National Institute of Meteorology). Her participation is particularly significant because, among numerous representatives from all major countries of the world, she was the only representative from the Southeast European region.

Dr. Ćehić, used this prestigious platform to present the research conducted at the University of Applied Sciences in Security and Safety (VSS), part of the SSBM Geneva group, and to establish new contacts and potential collaborations. The Swiss School of Business and Management actively supports the professional development of its staff. We are proud of all their successes, and participation in such a prestigious global conference confirms the quality and excellence of our academic staff.

The trip from Zagreb to Barcelona also brought an opportunity for a short break in Vienna, where Dr. Ćehić, visited the institutions dealing with key environmental issues: Bundesministerium Land- und Forstwirtschaft, Klima- und Umweltschutz, and Regionen und Wasserwirtschaft. As an art lover, she also used her free time to visit the famous Albertina, where she enjoyed the “From Monet to Picasso” exhibition.
