Students Fostering Global Competence and Local Integration at SSBM Geneva

NEWS > Students Fostering Global Competence and Local Integration at SSBM Geneva

At the SSBM Geneva campus, students recently had the opportunity to deepen both their academic and professional development through two engaging and highly impactful classes.

In the Company Project BB2 class, Professor Olesya Messina enriched the learning experience by inviting a guest speaker, Nicolas Thosenen, whose international background and business expertise provided students with valuable real-world insight. During his presentation, he shared his professional journey, global experience, and key lessons learned throughout his career. His profile, showcased on the slides presented in class, offered students a comprehensive overview of his achievements and areas of expertise, inspiring them to think critically about their own professional paths.

In parallel, the Integration Class, taught in French by Professor Maude Vuille, plays a crucial role in supporting students as they transition into life in Geneva. The course focuses on helping students adapt to one of Switzerland’s main languages, equipping them with the communication skills needed to engage with the local community. Beyond language acquisition, the class supports cultural understanding and enhances students’ prospects for employment by strengthening their ability to navigate everyday situations and professional environments in French-speaking Switzerland.

Together, these initiatives demonstrate SSBM Geneva’s commitment to offering students both high-quality academic experiences and practical tools to succeed in an international setting.
