SSBM Geneva students of the BBA1 Law and Ethics course recently had the opportunity to attend an engaging and insightful guest session led by Sylvie Avrillon, Chief Human Resources Officer at Vectura Fertin Pharma, the autonomous wellness and healthcare division of Philip Morris International.
The session was organized and hosted by Professor Mary Mayenfisch-Tobin, who invited Ms. Avrillon to share her professional experience and expertise in human resources management within a complex, multinational corporate environment.
During the presentation, Ms. Avrillon offered students a deep dive into the evolving role of HR in global organizations, emphasizing the importance of ethical leadership, talent management, and organizational culture. Drawing from her extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and wellness sector, she highlighted how HR strategies must continuously adapt to regulatory frameworks, international workforce expectations, and corporate responsibility standards.
This guest lecture further reinforces SSBM Geneva’s commitment to providing students with direct exposure to industry leaders and fostering a learning environment grounded in contemporary business realities and ethical understanding.
