SSBM Geneva alumna, Anna Riaba, chose to pursue an MBA in HR Management at a defining point in her career, driven by a strong belief in continuous professional and personal development. With a particular interest in emotional intelligence and communication, she saw the program as a way to deepen her understanding of human resources and her ability to support both individuals and organizations more effectively.
I’ve always believed in continuous growth, both professionally and personally. At a pivotal moment in my career, I felt the need to deepen my knowledge in HR and strengthen my ability to support people and organizations more effectively. Pursuing an MBA in HR Management at SSBM Geneva was a natural step, especially as it aligned with my interest in emotional intelligence and communication.
The skills I use most frequently are emotional intelligence, communication, and strategic thinking. The program helped me better understand people, navigate complex situations, and approach challenges with a more structured and thoughtful mindset.
One of the most memorable moments was receiving the results of my final exam. After balancing intensive studies with a demanding workload and a challenging period professionally, that moment brought a strong sense of relief and pride — and even a few tears of joy.
It is definitely challenging, but absolutely worth it. There will be demanding periods, but staying disciplined, managing your time well, and remembering your purpose will help you push through. The personal and professional growth you gain makes all the effort worthwhile.
Anna’s MBA journey at SSBM Geneva was challenging but deeply rewarding. She applies the skills she gained directly in her daily work, helping her navigate complex situations with more confidence and structure.
Her advice is simple: balancing an MBA with a full-time job isn’t easy, but it’s worth it if you stay focused on why you started.
