A Moment Worth Celebrating: SSBM MBA Graduation in Zagreb

On November 29^th, in Zagreb at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel, SSBM Geneva hosted a memorable graduation ceremony for students of the Instructional site in Zagreb. Marking the culmination of years of dedication and academic achievement, the event brought together graduates, faculty, and distinguished guests for an evening of celebration, recognition, and inspiration.

The ceremony began with the traditional Gaudeamus Igitur, followed by an opening address from the host Tina Kolić, and a warm welcome from SSBM Geneva President, Prof. Dr. Luka Leško, who highlighted the accomplishments of the graduating students and the enduring mission of SSBM Geneva to foster global business leaders.

Throughout the evening, a series of awards recognized exceptional contributions within the SSBM community. Dr. Pierre Matek was awarded best lecturer, and Vedran Zrilić gave an inspiring speech as the best MBA student, finishing the speech by amplifying that an MBA isn’t the finish line but just a start and quoting the famous words of Steve Jobs, “Stay hungry, stay foolish”. They were honoured for their dedication and achievements. An extraordinary contribution was awarded to Ivana Silić for her valuable role in the S-Group and SSBM community.

The highlight of the evening was the degree conferral, where graduates were called individually to receive their diplomas from Dr. Leško. The ceremony concluded with group photographs of all SSBM students alongside the President, immortalizing the collective success of the graduating class.

The event was a testament to the commitment, hard work, and perseverance of SSBM Geneva students. With heartfelt speeches from both students and faculty, the ceremony celebrated not only academic achievement but also the sense of community and support that defines SSBM Geneva.

The celebration continued beyond the formal proceedings, leaving graduates and guests with cherished memories of an inspiring evening that marked the beginning of new professional journeys.
