Online lectures for the Master in International Sports Law programme have started!

We are excited to announce that we have started our online lectures for the Master in International Sports Law programme. The first course – Jurisdiction & Conflict of Jurisdictions in Sports Disputes, is held by prof. Michael Geistlinger.

This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the jurisdiction and conflict of jurisdiction issues, which might arise in sports disputes. Prof. Geistlinger will discuss the different types of legal systems and their relevance for sports law, including common law, civil law and mixed legal systems. Furthermore, students will examine how the different legal systems are used by international sports federations, as well as by national sports organizations. We will also look at some examples from recent cases involving jurisdiction issues in international sports disputes.
