Cross Cultural Management

Cross-Cultural Management plays a significant role in International Business because of the globalization and internationalization of companies. Culture influences international business in several ways and failing to understand such complexities could affect the growth of the business. By applying the scientific-practitioner approach, students would receive a first-class didactic approach to teaching, including video cases, practical examples from multinational companies and teamwork. After the end of this course, students would achieve the following objectives.

About Instructor: Alex E. Asampong, EDBA

Dr. Alex Ekow Asampong, lives and works in the Netherlands. Educationally, he has an Executive Doctor of Business Administration (EDBA), Master of Business Administration  (MBA) and a Bachelor degree; BA (Hons) Economics and History. Professionally, he is a lecturer and a consultant with an excellent experience. He has  several years of experience in lecturing, coaching and supervising international students. He has been coaching and supervising final year graduation students in several multinational companies in Europe, America, Asia, Africa and other parts of the world. At the University, he has also served as the Vice-Chairman of the Institute Council Board, and he is still serving as a Council Board Member, working on strategic policies for the International Business Institute.

Additionally, he provides consultancy services for multinational companies, training culturally diverse work teams and leadership. Due to his experience in education and the cooperate world, he has the strategic visionary skills to improve the quality of international education. In the classroom, he combines company experience and excellent didactic approach to teaching, which helps him to provide good knowledge, skills and attitudes for his students to achieve their academic aims and objectives. Being a resilient and affable person, he possesses strategic visionary skills, manages complexity, promotes teamwork, achieves accountability, creativity and innovation. His area of research includes Intercultural Competence, Culturally Diverse Work Teams, Organisational Behavior, Leadership, International HRM.
