Creativity, Reflection, and Festivity: Candle Workshop at SSBM Geneva

SSBM Geneva hosted a hands-on candle-making workshop that brought creativity, mindfulness, and festive cheer to our campus. Students had the opportunity to design and craft their own Christmas-edition candles—unique creations that can be cherished as holiday gifts or used to add warmth and ambiance to their homes during the festive season.

The workshop was led by Saadet Kal, founder of DerKal Atelier, who guided participants through the candle-making process with expertise and inspiration. From selecting scents and colors to shaping their final pieces, students fully immersed themselves in the creative experience.

While waiting for their candles to set, participants engaged in an intention-setting exercise, taking a moment to pause and reflect. This was followed by open conversations about life, happiness, and personal aspirations—adding a meaningful and reflective dimension to the workshop.

The session was a beautiful blend of creativity, connection, and mindfulness, reinforcing SSBM Geneva’s commitment to holistic learning experiences that go beyond the classroom.
