Preparing for future academics

The IISE 3F Program helps PhD scholars understand the academic job market and navigate faculty recruitment. Monthly seminars address research and teaching statements, interviews, job talks and teaching demonstrations. One-on-one faculty mentorship offers guidance on professional development and academic career expectations.

At SSBM Geneva, Know-How and Do-How grow together

The two educational approaches are complementary. IISE 3F helps research-trained PhD scholars translate academic Know-How into professional academic Do-How. SSBM Geneva supports experienced executives, entrepreneurs and professionals in developing academic Know-How alongside practical Do-How through practice-oriented doctoral study, research training, experiential learning, coaching and DBA mentorship.

Proximity-Based Learning and Mentorship describes the value of close interaction with faculty, practitioners and peers. Through dialogue, observation and collaborative inquiry, candidates can connect professional challenges with academic research and apply new insights to practice.

Your experience can become your research advantage

Your professional experience marks the start of your doctoral journey, not the end of your intellectual development. SSBM Geneva aims to help doctoral candidates investigate real business challenges, develop original research insights and strengthen research-informed decision-making and responsible leadership. Internationally engaged mentors can bring broader academic perspectives to this journey.
