On June 12, 2025, the Swiss School of Business and Management Geneva’s Vietnam office proudly participated as an official partner at the CIRES 2025 International Scientific Conference, held in Ho Chi Minh City.

Involvement in this prestigious event reaffirms our commitment to strengthening Vietnam’s academic and research landscape, with a special emphasis on ESG (Environmental – Social – Governance) strategies and sustainable development practices.

The CIRES 2025 Conference brought together a distinguished assembly of scientists, academics, policy makers, and organizational leaders from Vietnam and across the globe. Key topics covered included:

  • Interdisciplinary research as a tool for addressing ESG challenges;

  • Vietnam’s readiness to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);

  • Global development trends, risks, and inclusive, sustainable solutions.

A highlight of the conference was the presentation by Dr. Nguyen Tung Lam, Director of Research at SSBM Vietnam. Dr. Lam explored the impact of ESG implementation on business performance, emphasizing ESG as a critical competitive edge for SMEs in today’s transparent, globalized marketplace.

He also presented a case study on Trung Quy Group, a company led by an SSBM MBA alumnus, which has successfully incorporated 70% recycled materials into its production processes, leading to a 60% revenue increase. Dr. Lam underscored the urgent need for supportive policy frameworks and standardized reporting systems to foster ESG as a strategic advantage in Vietnam.
