Skillbox Founders Inspire MBA Students in Zagreb: From Concept to Company

At SSBM Geneva, we pride ourselves on blending academic excellence with real-world impact, and our latest collaboration is a perfect example of this vision in action.

During the MBA course Digital Business Acceleration, led by Professor Damir Gavran, students at our Zagreb Instructional Site had the unique opportunity to engage directly with two inspiring entrepreneurs: Lida Hamar Paladin and Ivana Radovniković, the founders of Skillbox.

Lida and Ivana generously shared their entrepreneurial journey, offering students invaluable insights into how Skillbox evolved from an idea into a thriving personal and professional development platform. Their session not only sparked inspiration – it set the stage for hands-on learning.

As part of a dynamic workshop, students applied the MIT methodology to propose strategic enhancements to Skillbox, with a particular focus on improving its governance model. This interactive approach empowered students to think critically, work collaboratively, and generate practical, innovative solutions.

A joint selection committee, made up of representatives from SSBM and Skillbox, reviewed the submissions and awarded the most outstanding contributions. The top-performing students received special gifts in recognition of their creativity, insight, and hard work.

But the collaboration doesn’t end there. Professor Damir Gavran will also be a guest lecturer at Skillbox. 

This cross-institutional partnership is a testament to SSBM’s commitment to experiential learning, knowledge sharing, and creating opportunities that connect students with the leaders shaping the future of business.
