I was looking for a program that combined Swiss academic rigor with the flexibility a working executive needs. SSBM Geneva’s specialized MBA in Artificial Intelligence was a rare offering that matched exactly where telecom and Africa’s digital economy are heading. The international faculty and the ability to study while leading a demanding role in Cameroon and contributing to national initiatives made it the right fit.
One of my strongest motivations was my contribution to Cameroon’s national AI strategy. Taking part in the National Consultations on Artificial Intelligence in 2024 and 2025 showed me that the country’s digital future needs leaders who combine deep industry experience with formal AI expertise. After 17 years in telecommunications, I did not want to simply witness that transformation; I wanted to help shape it, both at the national strategy table and inside my organization.
Over 15 months, it took me from AI theory to AI applied. I contributed to Cameroon’s National AI Strategy consultations, led internal AI faculty sessions and a Group-wide AI showcase on AI agents, and published research on the application of AI in telecom RAN and marketing. The program gave me the frameworks to turn knowledge into measurable impact, from national policy discussions to corporate transformation projects.
Before, I led primarily from experience and industry capital markets analysis. Today, I lead with a sharper strategic lens: I question assumptions with data, I approach innovation with structured methods, and I connect technology decisions to clear business requirements and customers’ expectations. I have also grown into a more generous leader, investing in sharing within my ecosystem how to use AI to boost productivity, rather than keeping the knowledge to myself.
