At the Swiss School of Business and Management, personal development is a vital part of modern business education. In a recent Personal Development class led by Professor Olesya Meskina, students explored the important relationship between wealth, well-being, and work–life balance.
During the session, students delivered presentations examining how these three elements interact and influence both professional success and personal fulfillment. The discussion encouraged reflection on success—not only in financial terms but also in mental health, personal satisfaction, and sustainable career growth.
As part of their assignment, students developed and presented a case study titled “The Story of Student Kate.” This fictional scenario, created by Professor Olesya for academic discussion and analysis, invited students to explore real-life-like dilemmas related to career ambitions, financial decisions, and personal well-being.
Students worked in groups to analyze Kate’s journey, evaluating the challenges she faced while balancing academic responsibilities, career goals, and personal life. Their presentations offered strategies to help Kate achieve a healthier balance between professional aspirations and personal fulfillment.
The class demonstrated a high level of engagement, with students presenting thoughtful insights, creative perspectives, and practical solutions. This session highlights the Swiss School of Business and Management’s dedication to preparing students for both professional success and meaningful personal development.
