Mateo Mohorovic is a senior infrastructure and project finance professional with extensive experience in PPP lending & advisory, project structuring, and infrastructure financing across Europe and emerging markets. He currently serves as Director in Project & Structured Finance at Raiffeisen Bank International AG in Vienna, focusing on infrastructure, concession-based, and PPP transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
Over the course of his career, Mateo has advised on and structured complex infrastructure and project finance transactions across transportation, energy, environmental infrastructure, and social infrastructure sectors. His experience spans both commercial banking and development finance institutions, including senior roles at Development Bank of Austria and UniCredit Group. He has worked on transactions across Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, and other emerging markets, including large-scale PPP and syndicated financings.
In addition to his banking career, Mateo serves in governance and advisory capacities within development finance and investment platforms backed by the European Investment Bank and several leading European Development Finance Institutions. His experience includes board and investment committee roles focused on infrastructure, renewable energy, and private sector development in emerging markets.
Mateo is also active in academia and executive education as a lecturer in project finance and risk management. His work combines transaction execution, strategic advisory, and engagement with public authorities on the development of bankable infrastructure and PPP projects. He holds advanced degrees in corporate and investment banking from SDA Bocconi School of Management and international banking programs in Europe.
