On 13th of May 2026, SSBM Geneva Professor Dario Silić, PhD, participated in the prestigious conference “Transforming Uncertainty into Growth,” organized by global insurance broker Marsh McLennan in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Croatia (AmCham Croatia).

The event gathered some of Croatia’s leading business executives and experts to discuss the growing challenges of global risk management and organizational resilience in an increasingly complex international environment.

Presentation of the 2026 Global Risks Report

Following the opening remarks by Marsh Croatia CEO Jasminka Horvat Martinović and AmCham Croatia CEO Andrea Doko Jelušić, attendees were introduced to the 2026 Global Risks Report by Lorraine Stack, Regional Risk Management Leader for Europe at Marsh.

The report, published annually by the World Economic Forum, with Marsh serving as a strategic partner, is considered one of the most important global references for understanding emerging risks and preparing organizations for future uncertainty.

Developed through insights from more than 1,300 global experts, the report provides leaders with strategic guidance for:

  • Understanding current and future global risks
  • Improving risk planning and management
  • Identifying business opportunities and threats
  • Strengthening organizational resilience

The report identified the following as the top short-term risks over the next two years:

The conference theme was inspired by the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos 2026 and the panel discussion “Navigating Uncertainty: Transforming Uncertainty into Growth,” organized by Mercer and Oliver Wyman. The discussion emphasized strategic priorities and leadership principles required to navigate today’s rapidly evolving “intelligent age.”
