SSBM Geneva recently welcomed Florian Migliarini, a distinguished representative of the renowned Swiss retailer Migros, for an engaging and insightful session with students.
During his visit, Mr. Migliarini explored how innovation drives success across Swiss retail, manufacturing, and logistics sectors. His session provided a comprehensive look at both continuous operational improvements and high-level strategic decisions, including the integration of automation, advanced technologies, and sustainability practices.
The interactive session also featured practical group exercises in which students worked on real-world Swiss e-commerce, retail, and supply chain scenarios. These activities encouraged critical thinking and collaboration, allowing participants to apply theoretical knowledge to real business challenges.
Students gained valuable perspectives on key topics such as digitalisation, artificial intelligence, innovation management, and performance optimization; offering strong inspiration for future academic work, including DBA and Bachelor thesis projects.
The session was organized by Professor Georgia Boruht as part of her Sustainability and Innovation course, further enriching the academic experience through hands-on learning and industry engagement.
This event highlights SSBM Geneva’s commitment to bridging academia and industry by providing students with direct access to experienced professionals and real-world insights.
