SSBM Geneva Strengthens Global Engagement Through Partnership with Maat

NEWS > SSBM Geneva Strengthens Global Engagement Through Partnership with Maat

We are excited to announce a strategic partnership with Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rights Association, a leading civil society organization with a strong global presence in promoting peace, development, and human rights.

They are an esteemed non-partisan, non-profit civil society organization established in 2005 and granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2016. Maat actively participates in the Human Rights Council and has been a loyal partner in facilitating impactful workshops and programs at the UN.

The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will see SSBM Geneva and Maat collaborating on workshops, programs, and initiatives at the United Nations Palais des Nations, creating meaningful opportunities for dialogue, learning, and global impact.

A big thank you to Marina Mikhail, Director of the International Human Rights Mechanisms Unit at Maat, whose expertise in UN Human Rights mechanisms was crucial to this initiative’s success, as well as Mr. Ayman Okail, President of Maat, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support in advancing youth engagement and human rights advocacy.

This collaboration represents SSBM Geneva’s commitment to fostering impactful partnerships that drive progress in human rights, sustainable development, and international engagement.
