SSBM Geneva is proud to celebrate a moment of endurance, unity, and school spirit as we look back on the remarkable participation of our students in the Genève Marathon, which took place yesterday, May 11, 2025, in the heart of Geneva.
Representing SSBM Geneva with pride and determination, a spirited group of students – Carlo Costa, Julija Bakanauskaite, Irvie Janzen Ramos, and Vicki Wang – took on the challenge of the Marathon Relais, embodying the values of teamwork, perseverance, and excellence that define our community.
Running under the SSBM Geneva banner, the team completed the marathon with an official time of 4:04:21, placing 201st overall among all teams. This impressive achievement is not only a testament to their athletic strength but also to their collaborative spirit and shared determination.
What made the day even more special was the incredible support from SSBM Geneva staff and fellow students, who came out in numbers to cheer the team on. Their encouragement, energy, and presence along the route truly lifted the runners’ spirits and turned the event into a celebration of community and togetherness.
We are incredibly proud of Carlo, Julija, Irvie, and Vicki for carrying the SSBM Geneva name across the finish line. Their participation is a shining example of what it means to be part of the SSBM family – pushing boundaries, supporting one another, and striving for greatness both inside and outside the classroom.
Events like the Genève Marathon remind us that success is not just measured in academic accomplishments but also in the experiences we share, the challenges we overcome, and the community we build along the way.
