This year’s forum was dedicated to the theme “How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming the Public and Private Sectors.” The event was organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia, underscoring its national significance and strategic importance.
The forum brought together distinguished representatives from regional and local government, including the County Prefect of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and the Mayor of Rijeka, alongside senior leaders from prominent financial and public institutions. Their presence highlighted the growing recognition of AI as a key factor in institutional development and economic progress.
Artificial Intelligence is no longer a theoretical concept reserved for IT experts. It has become a practical tool that significantly enhances the efficiency of public administration, optimizes corporate performance, improves financial decision-making, and elevates the quality of public services.
From predictive analytics and automated reporting to advanced customer insights and intelligent process automation, AI is reshaping how organizations generate value and sustain competitiveness in dynamic market environments.
Panel discussions focused on the concrete application of AI in analytics and strategic decision-making, risk management, operational optimization, and strengthening market competitiveness. Special attention was given to responsible AI governance, data ethics, cybersecurity, and the critical need to align technological innovation with regulatory standards and workforce development.
A highlight of the forum was the participation of Professor Dario Silić, who joined a panel examining Artificial Intelligence as a strategic management instrument in the private sector. He emphasized that AI should not be perceived merely as a technological enhancement, but as a comprehensive strategic transformation.
According to Professor Silić, successful AI integration requires visionary leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and sustained investment in skills development. He also stressed the important role of business schools in preparing future leaders to operate effectively in AI-driven environments, fostering critical thinking, ethical responsibility, and strategic adaptability.
