SSBM Geneva Professor Dario Silić, PhD, attended the Three Seas Business Forum held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from April 28 to 29. The event gathered leading political figures, policymakers, and business representatives to discuss economic cooperation and development across the Three Seas Initiative.
The Three Seas Initiative (3SI) is a cooperation platform of EU member states located between the Baltic, Adriatic, and Black Seas that strengthens North–South connectivity in three domains:
Among the notable speakers at the forum were Davor Božinović, Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia; Lauri Hussar, President of the Estonian Parliament; Dubravka Šuica, European Commissioner for the Mediterranean; and Allison Hooker, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs at the U.S. Department of State.
The summit welcomed leaders of multiple countries in attendance, such as Croatia Prime Minister, Mr. Andrej Plenković, Mr. Karol Nawrocki, the President of Poland, Mr. Gritanas Nauseda, the President of Lithuania, Mr. Petr Pavel, the President of the Czech Republic, Mr. Edgars Rinkevičs, President of Republic of Latvia, Mr. Peter Pellegrini, President of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Konstatinos Tasoulas, President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Nicușor Dan, President of Romania.
Professor Silić’s attendance reflects SSBM Geneva’s ongoing engagement with key international stakeholders and its commitment to contributing to discussions on regional development, innovation, and strategic cooperation.
