SSBM Geneva proudly highlights the recent international academic achievements of Dr. Hamid Mattiello, DBA Mentor and Professor, whose ongoing work continues to contribute to research and global dialogue in the fields of ethical AI, Industry X.0, sustainability, digital transformation, and interdisciplinary innovation.

Guest Lecture at the University of Zurich

On 9th of April 2026, Dr. Mattiello delivered a guest lecture at the University of Zurich within the CAS Sex and Gender Specific Medicine program at the Vetsuisse Faculty, University Animal Hospital.

His lecture, titled: “Cultural & Gender Awareness in the Digital Medicine and Health X.0 Era: A Paradigmatic Shift”, was presented as part of the final colloquium and explored the integration of sex, gender, culture, and intersectionality into digital health systems, artificial intelligence, and future healthcare transformation within the X.0 Wave framework.

The session emphasized the importance of inclusive and human-centered approaches to digital medicine and the evolving role of ethical innovation in future healthcare ecosystems.

Three Peer-Reviewed Research Papers Presented at IEEE EDUCON 2026 – Cairo, Egypt

Dr. Mattiello was also honored to present three peer-reviewed research papers at IEEE EDUCON 2026, organized by the IEEE Education Society.

The international conference brought together scholars and practitioners from around the world to discuss engineering education, ethical AI, sustainability, leadership, and Industry X.0 transformation.

The presented papers included:

  • “Empowering Future-Ready Women Engineers for Industry X.0: Ethical AI, Gender-Inclusive Leadership, and Sustainability in the Global South”.

These research contributions further advance discussions surrounding X.0 Wave Theory, ethical innovation, sustainability, future-ready leadership, and engineering education for global socio-economic transformation.

In addition, Dr. Mattiello recently published a new book through Generis Publishing titled: Interaction of Business and IT Law: Navigating the Digital Legal Landscape at the X.0 Era
