Success Story Dr. Rimzim Fuladi

From Corporate Experience to Academic Discovery

Education has the power to transform not only careers but also purpose. Pursuing my GDBA in Human Resource Management and Psychology became much more than an academic milestone; it was the beginning of a journey toward understanding the deeper human realities that shape our lives, particularly the invisible emotional burdens carried by working women.

With over 18 years of experience in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition in the IT industry, I have already witnessed the pressures professionals face every day. However, my academic learning gave me a much stronger lens to understand the emotional, behavioral, and psychological dimensions behind workplace performance, stress, identity, and resilience.

How did your experience at SSBM Geneva help you transform academic knowledge into a purpose-driven mission focused on the mental well-being of working women?

My DBA at SSBM Geneva allowed me to research the real challenges faced by working women. It helped me turn academic insights into a mission to advocate for healthier, more inclusive workplaces where women’s mental well-being is recognized and supported.

“My goal is to encourage awareness, empathy, and meaningful conversations around mental well-being, both inside and outside the workplace.”

Seeing the Human Side of the Workplace

The program helped me connect organizational challenges with human emotions. It strengthened my understanding of mental well-being, emotional intelligence, work-life balance, behavioral patterns, and the psychological impact of professional expectations, especially on women.

What started as academic curiosity gradually evolved into meaningful research and eventually became the foundation of my doctoral work, which focuses on the mental well-being of working women in the Indian IT sector.

What was the most powerful insight you discovered during your research journey and while writing the book?

The most powerful insight was that many women are not lacking resilience but carrying invisible emotional, professional, and societal burdens. Burnout is often a response to systemic pressures rather than personal weakness.

The Inspiration Behind Invisible Weight She Carries

During my research, I realized that many women silently carry emotional responsibilities that often go unnoticed. They balance demanding careers with caregiving, motherhood, societal expectations, hormonal changes, personal sacrifices, and professional ambitions, all at the same time. While they may appear strong and successful on the outside, many continue to struggle internally without acknowledgment or support.

That realization deeply moved me and inspired me to turn years of observations, research, professional experience, and emotional understanding into my book, Invisible Weight She Carries.

Giving a Voice to Invisible Struggles

The book is much more than a publication; it’s a voice for countless women whose struggles often remain invisible. It explores themes of emotional resilience, identity, burnout, silent expectations, workplace pressure, and the incredible strength women demonstrate every single day.

My goal is to encourage awareness, empathy, and meaningful conversations around mental well-being, both inside and outside the workplace.

Turning Knowledge into Purpose

My academic foundation in Human Resource Management and Psychology played a pivotal role in shaping this journey. It enabled me to bridge corporate realities with human emotions and transform research into meaningful storytelling that can inspire change.

Today, I feel proud to have converted my learning into something that supports, empowers, and inspires others. My journey is a reminder that education becomes truly impactful when knowledge is transformed into purpose-driven contributions to society.

I will always remain grateful for my academic journey, which helped me discover not only professional growth but also a deeper mission: to make invisible struggles visible and create space for conversations that truly matter.

What message would you like leaders, organizations, and aspiring professionals to take away from The Invisible Weight She Carries?

I want people to understand that well-being is a shared responsibility. Organizations must create supportive environments, leaders must lead with empathy, and professionals should feel empowered to prioritize their mental health without guilt.
