After this topic the students will learn to : explain and analyze the Balance sheet, Income Statement, CF Statement tasks, use and interpret different ratios (liquidity, profitability, leverage, efficiency and market ratios. Student will be able to determine the performance of the company and associated risks with ability to propose the necessary restructuring measures in order to increase the company value and to reduce the operational and financial risks.

Business planning and Budgeting
After this lecture the students will learn to : forecast future Balance sheet, Income Statement and CF statement. Using historical figures the students will predict the future trends of its company in different scenarios. This is important as a necessary steps for students to learn how to value the company in future.

Working Capital Management
After this topic the students will learn to : Calculate current assets such as Receivables, Stocks, Cash and to calculate current liabilities such as Payables, short term debts etc. The students will learn how to determine the NWC, cash conversion cycle and how to finance using different instruments cash gaps. This topic important for students in order to learn how to keep financially stable and liquid company on short term basis and to how use NWC as one of the component of Company Valuation.

Business Valuation
After this topic the students will learn to : valuate company based on intrinsic methods such as FCF, dividends and extrinsic methods such as multiples. Students will use different models in excel with many assumptions in order to determine the value of any company in different scenarios (bets case, worst case, central case). Using inputs such as Balance sheet, P&L, DCF, NWC, CAPEX, Terminal value, WACC etc students will learn how to build the financial models in excel and to do the simulations of firm’s value with focus on profitability, liquidity, efficiency, leverage etc.

After this topic the students will learn to : apply different methods for merger or acquisition of different companies in different industries. Students will have a possibility to see different cases of successful and less successful M&A transactions in world. Students will learn different motifs for M&A, steps in preparation the M&A transaction, due diligence aspects and other prerequisites for a successful M&A. |

Dividend policy
After this topic the students will learn to : calculate future dividends using different intrinsic and extrinsic methods, see differences between active and passive dividend policy, determine the importance of dividends on company value and how to interpret the level of dividends on company performance, company risks and shareholders wealth. This topic is important as its represents one of fundamental method of company valuation.

Risk Measurement
After this topic the students will learn to : determine the risk of any company using indicators such as variance, covariance and standard deviation. Such financial tools will be used to compare the firm with its benchmarks and with different industries in a specific portfolio of securities. Students will also learn how to apply the Capital Assets Pricing Model (CAPM) in measuring the relations between the risk and return in different companies. CAPM model is particularly important to determine the return on investment for investors and to use it in company valuation as cost of capital. |

After this topic the students will learn to : differentiate accounting manipulations and creative accounting. Students will see many case studies form different industries in world where accounting manipulations were used (accounting scandals). This lecture will help students to learn from bad examples manipulation techniques, how to reach the fair presentation of financial statement and how to increase the company value respecting the International and National standards and legal accounting requirements. |
