The aim of this course is to obtain basic knowledge and understanding of the assurance engagement process, in compliance with the professional and legal framework.  The course will primarily focus on the audit of historical financial information as one of the most frequent, and thus the most regulated, audit engagements. In addition, the course shall give an overview of other specific audit engagements. The lectures will include numerous problem-oriented exercises and cover various themes through small business cases, real life examples, homework, etc.
